📝 Ingredients

For the Ramen:

  • 1 pack instant ramen noodles (any flavor, discard seasoning packet if using your own broth)

  • 2 cups water

  • 1 tsp oil

  • 1 garlic clove (minced)

  • ½ tsp grated ginger (optional)

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tsp chili sauce or paste (adjust to taste)

  • 1 tsp sesame oil (optional)

  • 1 egg (boiled or poached, optional)

  • Vegetables of your choice (e.g., carrots, cabbage, spinach, spring onions, mushrooms)

  • Protein of your choice (e.g., tofu, chicken, shrimp – optional)


👨‍🍳 Instructions

Step 1: Boil the Noodles

  1. In a saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.

  2. Add ramen noodles and cook for 2–3 minutes or until soft.

  3. Drain and set aside (if stir-frying) or keep in the water for soup-style.

Step 2: Make the Sauce/Broth

For soupy ramen:

  1. In a separate pan, heat 1 tsp oil and sauté garlic and ginger.

  2. Add soy sauce, chili sauce, and 2 cups of water (or vegetable/chicken broth).

  3. Add vegetables and simmer for 5 minutes.

For stir-fried ramen:

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Add garlic, ginger, and chopped vegetables.

  2. Add soy sauce and chili sauce. Stir in cooked noodles.

  3. Toss everything together on high heat for 2–3 minutes.

Step 3: Add Extras

  1. Top with a boiled or poached egg.

  2. Add chopped green onions, sesame seeds, or a drizzle of sesame oil for flavor.

  3. Serve hot!
