Banh Mi is a famous Vietnamese sandwich that beautifully blends French and Vietnamese flavors. It features a crispy baguette filled with savory meats, tangy pickled vegetables, fresh herbs, and creamy sauces.

📝 Ingredients:

For the Sandwich:

  • 1 Vietnamese-style baguette (or French baguette)

  • 100g grilled pork, chicken, or tofu (optional: cold cuts or pate)

  • 1 small cucumber, thinly sliced

  • Fresh cilantro (coriander leaves)

  • 1 small jalapeño or green chili, sliced (optional)

  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise

  • 1 tsp soy sauce or Maggi seasoning

For the Pickled Vegetables:

  • ½ cup shredded carrots

  • ½ cup daikon radish (or white radish), shredded

  • ¼ cup vinegar (rice vinegar or white vinegar)

  • 2 tbsp sugar

  • ½ tsp salt
